About Jodi

Jodi Sherman Jahic is a co-founder and General Partner at Aligned Partners, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm investing in early-stage B2B startups. She has been an early-stage technology venture capitalist for over 20 years.

Prior to co-founding Aligned Partners in 2011, Jodi was co-founder and Managing Director of SCG Investments, a pledge fund headquartered in San Francisco focusing on capital-efficient investments. Previously, Jodi led the wireless sector for Voyager Capital, an early-stage venture firm with $375 million under management. Jodi was also Kauffman Fellow at Battery Ventures, where she sourced and led investments in wireless data and semiconductor process control companies.

Before entering the venture capital world, Jodi was on the early team of three startups in North America and Europe. She also worked in the technology industry group at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where she managed large-scale technology projects for clients such as Motorola Semiconductor, Pacific Bell, and Sun Microsystems (none of which are currently known by those names).

Jodi received her BA degree magna cum laude in Science, Technology, and Society with a concentration in Physics from Pomona College and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She was a Rhodes Scholar finalist and is a Wexner Heritage fellow.

Jodi lives in San Francisco with her husband (also a technology executive) and their two daughters. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco and Defy Ventures Northern California, and is a member of Accenture’s Technology Advisory Board. Jodi is also one of the founding members of All Raise.

When not coaching founders or blogging here, Jodi is likely to be found reading a book in the sun (ideally with some mezcal or wine at her side) or skiing with her family.
